Job summary

RAC is looking for a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division. With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, you’ll handle diagnostics and roadside repairs, delivering quick, confident solutions for RAC members across the UK.

You’ll start and end your day at home, serving local areas with a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit provided to support you from day one.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and perform quick, confident fixes to get members back on the road.
• Provide reassurance and high-quality customer service on every call-out.
• Start and finish your day working from home base while serving local areas.
