Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will start and finish your day at home, operating within a local patrol area and using your technical expertise to get members back on the road quickly.

The role requires a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, plus a full UK driving licence with under 6

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic (5+ years) are desirable.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Deliver emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end days from home, visiting local locations to assist members.
