Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll start and end your day at home, covering local areas and returning to your RAC van with full equipment provided.

You’ll need an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience, a full UK driving licence (less than 6 points), and a passion for customer service as a field technician for the RAC Patrol division.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience in related role.
• Full UK driving licence with <6 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert roadside repairs and diagnostics across the UK.
• Assist members and provide reassurance on call-outs.
• Operate with RAC van, tools and diagnostic kit provided by the company.
