Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join the York cluster, covering York, Tadcaster, Selby, and surrounding areas. You will perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnose faults, and assist members on-site, starting and finishing from your home location.

Candidates need a Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification and at least 2 years of post-qualification experience, plus a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with at least 2 years post-qualification experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Customer-focused approach to roadside service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to members.
• Start and finish shifts at home with a RAC van and tools provided.
