Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming school in Milton Keynes. The role involves delivering interventions, supporting learners individually and in groups, and providing classroom cover as needed.

The ideal candidate will hold an HLTA qualification or have relevant school experience, with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to student development. SEND/SEMH experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or relevant experience in a school setting.
• Experience working within a school environment.
• Confident in leading groups of students and covering lessons.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Organised, adaptable and proactive with a passion for education.

Responsibilities

• Support learning across a range of subjects and year groups.
• Deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups.
• Cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Support students with diverse learning needs and abilities.
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Assist with planning and preparation of activities.
• Monitor and report on student progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff and parents.
