Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment in Warrington is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join primary schools across the area. The HLTA will cover classes when needed, support pupils across year groups, and deliver targeted interventions to boost progress.

You will work closely with teachers to plan activities, prepare resources, and foster a positive learning environment, building strong relationships with pupils and staff and stepping up with initiative when required.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or substantial teaching assistant experience.
• Ability to deliver small-group and one-to-one interventions.
• Confidence supporting pupils across different year groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom cover when teachers are unavailable
• Support pupils across different year groups and abilities
• Deliver small-group and individual interventions
• Work alongside teachers to support learning and pupil progress
• Help prepare and organise classroom resources and activities
• Support pupils who may require additional help with their learning
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
• Build strong relationships with pupils and staff
• Use your initiative to support the wider needs of the school
