Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an HLTA to join a mainstream secondary school in Lymington on a full-time, longer-term basis, starting immediately. You will support students with Autism, ADHD and other SEN within the school's dedicated SEN provision, delivering both academic and pastoral support and building strong relationships to help each student thrive throughout the school day.

The successful candidate will be patient, approachable and consistent, able to adapt to individual needs and work

Qualifications

• Experience as HLTA/Teaching Assistant in a school setting.
• Experience supporting students with SEN, particularly Autism and ADHD.
• Ability to build rapport and manage behaviour in a calm, inclusive manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and pastoral support to students within the SEN provision.
• Develop strong, positive relationships with students to support their confidence and inclusion throughout the school day.
• Adapt approach to meet individual student needs and support classroom learning.
