Job summary

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a new purpose built independent school for pupils aged 8-16 with Autism, EBSA and related mental health needs. The school delivers therapeutic education through a multidisciplinary approach, with spaces for learning, therapy and family support.

The role is permanent and full-time (37.5 hours/week, 08:30–16:30), with part-time hours considered and term-time only.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN.
• Willingness to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEN to achieve academic, social and emotional goals.
• Work with teachers and therapists to deliver learning and interventions.
• Support and implement EHCPs and IEPs.
• Lead learning activities with individuals or small groups.
• Help pupils develop independence, confidence and resilience.
• Contribute to a safe, nurturing and inclusive school environment.
• Occasionally lead the class during staff absence or teacher release time.
