Pertemps Education Network is partnering with a supportive primary school in Streatham, Lambeth, to recruit an experienced SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for their Autism Resource Provision (ARP) on a long-term basis.

You will lead a Reception class of five pupils aged 4 to 5 with ASC, deliver engaging activities, support communication and social development, and assist with personal care as needed, in a nurturing, structured learning environment.

Qualifications

  • HLTA qualification or significant experience at HLTA level.
  • Experience supporting children with Autism (ASC).
  • Experience in a primary school or specialist SEN setting.
  • Comfortable supporting pupils with personal care needs.
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a small class of Reception-aged pupils with Autism.
  • Deliver engaging learning activities tailored to individual needs.
  • Support pupils with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
  • Assist with personal care and promote independence.

Position: SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Long-Term, Full-Time

Salary: Competitive rates, dependent on experience

SEN HLTA Required — Pertemps Education Network is working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Streatham, Lambeth, seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their Autism Resource Provision (ARP) on a long-term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HLTA who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and is looking to make a meaningful impact within a specialist setting.

The Role: The successful candidate will take responsibility for a small class of five pupils aged 4 to 5 years old within the school's Autism Resource Provision. The children are in the Reception age group and have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

You will be responsible for leading the classroom, supporting pupils' learning and development, and working closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals to ensure every child reaches their full potential.

The role will also involve assisting with personal care where required.
