Job summary

Academics is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in the Torfaen area. You will work with teaching staff to support pupils, leading learning activities and maintaining a productive classroom environment.

The role offers weekly pay with holiday rates, flexible working where available, and a dedicated consultant to support your placement. An enhanced DBS and EWC registration (or willingness to register) are expected, with two professional references provided.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or equivalent
• Experience working in a school or education setting
• Ability to lead learning activities and support pupils within a team
• DBS Update Service - enhanced
• Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration or willingness to register
• Two professional references relating to work with children

• Support pupils across the classroom under direction of teaching staff
• Lead learning activities and provide effective classroom support
