Job summary

TeacherActive is assisting a lovely Primary School in Caerphilly to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a part-time, long-term role with potential to go permanent for the right candidate. You will plan, prepare and deliver learning activities, assess pupil progress and track outcomes across the year while supporting Welsh curriculum delivery.

The successful candidate will hold an HLTA qualification (PGCE or PCET acceptable) and have at least six months of classroom experience,

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities while assessing each pupil and tracking progress throughout the year

The Primary School is looking to take on a Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA on a part time long term basis, leading to a permanent position for the right Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering learning activities whilst assessing each pupil and tracking their progress throughout the year. You will need to hold a strong knowledge of specific aspects of the Welsh curriculum and be able to confidently support pupils when required.

The Successful candidate will have:

• Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA qualification
• PGCE or PCET qualifications are also acceptable
• At least 6 months experience within a classroom environment
• Strong classroom management skills
• A reflective and creative personality
