Job summary

TeacherActive seeks a confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a large secondary school in Pembrokeshire. You will deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher, support a range of year groups, and lead small group interventions to raise attainment.

With HLTA status or equivalent, you will have excellent communication and classroom management, plus the ability to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment and support pupils with ALN as required.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or equivalent qualification
• Experience working within a primary school setting
• Strong communication and classroom management skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
• Support teaching and learning across a range of year groups
• Lead small group interventions and provide targeted pupil support
• Monitor progress and raise attainment with teachers
• Support pupils with ALN where required
• Create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment
• Contribute to pupil wellbeing and the wider life of the school
