Job summary

Academics are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a Torfaen school. You will support learners, work with teaching staff and lead learning activities across the classroom.

The successful candidate will build positive relationships with pupils, adapt to diverse needs and ensure engaging, safe learning experiences. DBS/ EWC checks and two references are required or in process.

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised HLTA qualification.
• DBS Update Service (or willing to obtain) and valid safeguarding checks.
• Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or willing to register.
• Provide two professional references relating to your work with children.

Responsibilities

• Lead learning activities and provide effective classroom support.

Academics are currently seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a school in the Torfaen area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is confident supporting pupils, working alongside teaching staff and taking responsibility for learning activities across the classroom.

You'll play an important role within the school, helping pupils stay engaged with their learning while providing support where it is needed. The successful candidate will be someone who can build positive relationships with pupils, communicate effectively with staff and adapt to the needs of different learners.

• Are confident supporting pupils both independently and as part of a wider team

• Are reliable, organised and able to use your initiative

• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or are willing to obtain one

• Are registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC), or are willing to register

• Can provide two professional references relating to your work with children
