Are you a recent graduate looking to begin a rewarding career in education? Our forward-thinking secondary school in Newham is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Graduate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive team.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated graduate who is considering a future in teaching or education. As a Graduate HLTA, you will work closely with teachers, support staff, and students to enhance learning across the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering small-group interventions and supporting whole-class learning
  • Covering lessons in the absence of teaching staff (with planning provided)
  • Supporting students with additional needs to help them reach their full potential
  • Helping to create engaging learning resources and classroom displays
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment
  • Assisting teachers with planning, assessment, and general classroom support
