TeacherActive Ltd is working with several mainstream secondary schools in and around Wakefield to appoint a dedicated History Teacher for KS3/KS4. An immediate start is available with day-to-day or long-term placements.

You will deliver engaging History lessons, support GCSE/A-Level preparation, and adapt learning activities for SEND students while maintaining strong classroom management. The role requires a PGCE with QTS and experience in UK secondary education.

Qualifications

• PGCE with QTS required.
• Experience teaching History across KS3/KS4 in a UK secondary school.
• Experience supporting GCSE and A Level History.
• Experience adapting teaching and learning to support students with SEND.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with several mainstream secondary schools based in and around the Wakefield area, who are looking to appoint a dedicated History Teacher to support students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4. The schools provide a mainstream learning environment where students with a range of abilities and additional learning needs are supported to access the secondary curriculum.

The schools are looking to take on an enthusiastic History Teacher for day-to-day or long-term work, with an immediate start available. The successful History Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging History lessons, supporting students with GCSE and A Level preparation, adapting learning activities to meet SEND needs and maintaining effective classroom management.

The successful History Teacher will have:

A PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status / QTS

Experience teaching History across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4 in a UK secondary school

Strong subject knowledge and experience supporting students with GCSE and A Level History

Experience adapting teaching and learning to support students with SEND

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching
