Job summary

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of mainstream secondary schools based in Bradford, who are looking to appoint a History Teacher. The schools provide a mainstream learning environment for secondary-aged students, with a focus on delivering the curriculum and supporting learners with a range of educational needs.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS required; ECTs welcome
• Experience teaching History KS3 and KS4
• Strong subject knowledge and GCSE requirements
• Experience adapting lessons to support students with SEND

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging History lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Develop students' historical knowledge, critical thinking and analytical skills
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs, including SEND
• Maintain excellent classroom management and student engagement

Yorkshire and Humber/ contract / £150 - 190 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of mainstream secondary schools based in Bradford, who are looking to appoint a History Teacher. The schools provide a mainstream learning environment for secondary-aged students, with a focus on delivering the curriculum and supporting learners with a range of educational needs.

The schools are looking to take on an enthusiastic History Teacher for day-to-day or long-term opportunities, with an immediate start available. The successful History Teacher will be delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, developing students' historical knowledge, critical thinking and analytical skills while adapting teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs, including those with SEND.

The successful History Teacher will have:

Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (ECTs are also welcome to apply)

Experience teaching History across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4

Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the History curriculum and GCSE requirements

Experience adapting lessons to support students with SEND

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

A positive, flexible and enthusiastic approach to teaching
