Speedy Hire PLC is seeking a proactive Hire Desk Controller to support customers and ensure smooth daily hire operations in the UK. You will manage enquiries, bookings and orders, coordinating with depots to ensure equipment availability and timely deliveries.

Strong communication, organisational skills and a service-oriented mindset are essential. You’ll work closely with internal teams, aiming to maximise revenue while maintaining accurate records and high service standards across the hire

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, hire desk, sales administration or similar role.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer hire enquiries, bookings, extensions and off-hires.
• Provide excellent service by phone, email and internal systems.
• Process hire orders, quotations and documentation accurately.
• Coordinate equipment availability with depots and operations teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to maximise hire revenue and support growth.
• Resolve queries promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate customer records and hire information.
• Support the team to achieve service levels and targets.
• Promote safe working practices and comply with procedures.
