Job summary

Kemp Recruitment is seeking an experienced Hire Controller to join a busy team in Pontefract. The role focuses on coordinating engineer workloads, managing quotes and invoicing, and ensuring stock levels and parts supply for the hire fleet.

You will deliver strong customer service in a fast-paced environment and maintain compliance with LOLER and PDI requirements. The ideal candidate has administration or coordination experience, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft

Qualifications

• Experience in administration, coordination or similar role.
• Excellent communication and written skills.
• Highly organised with strong time management.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; knowledge of Xero is a plus.
• Experience in hire industry is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineer workloads, schedules, overtime and client communication.
• Manage job reports, quotes, invoicing, stock levels and parts supply.
• Support hire desk enquiries, contracts, logistics and telesales.
• Maintain hire equipment compliance, including LOLER and PDI requirements.
• Oversee driver, vehicle and fleet compliance, tracking and audit records.
• Provide general administration, customer support and GDPR compliance.
