Job summary

TPA Portable Roadways in Worksop is seeking a Hire Controller to join our busy depot team. You will process hire requests, coordinate with depots and transport, and ensure timely deliveries and accurate records.

The role requires experience in sales or customer service, strong communication, and meticulous administration. You will liaise between Sales and Operations, supporting customers and resolving issues with a proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in sales or customer service.
• Excellent communication skills, both face to face and on the phone.
• Customer focused approach.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good IT skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of the hire industry would be beneficial, however full training will be provided on our products.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload under pressure.
• A proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with potential and existing clients, offering services and providing quotations.
• Ensure all administration is always up to date.
• Act as the main point of contact for customers, ensuring all queries are dealt with in a timely manner.
• Operate as a link between the Sales and Operational functions whilst coordinating hires.
• Coordinate equipment deliveries and collections with transport and depot teams.
• Monitor equipment availability and manage scheduling to meet customer demand.
• Update and maintain accurate hire records, including hire extensions and off-hires.
• Assist with resolving equipment or service issues promptly and professionally.
