Job summary

Vp plc in Worksop is seeking a confident, organised Hire Controller to join our Worksop depot. This office-based role focuses on processing hire requests, coordinating with depots and transport teams, and ensuring equipment is delivered on time and to specification.

You will liaise with clients, provide quotations, keep admin up to date, and act as the main contact for customers. Previous sales or customer service experience is essential, with a proactive approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with potential and existing clients, offering services and providing quotations
• Ensure all administration is always up to date
• Act as the main point of contact for customers, ensuring queries are dealt with promptly
• Operate as a link between the Sales and Operational functions whilst coordinating hires
• Coordinate equipment deliveries and collections with transport and depot teams
• Monitor equipment availability and manage scheduling to meet customer demand
• Update and maintain accurate hire records, including extensions and off-hires
• Assist with resolving equipment or service issues promptly and professionally
