Ainscough Crane Hire, the UK’s leading crane hire company, is seeking a commercially minded Hire Controller for our Leeds depot. The role is fast-paced, turning customer enquiries into hires, coordinating people and equipment, and ensuring cranes operate efficiently and profitably.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and telephone skills.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Responding to customer enquiries and understanding needs.
• Converting hire enquiries into orders and maximising sales.
• Building long-term relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Coordinating crane allocation and resources.
• Supporting depot management with daily operations.
• Managing costs and ensuring efficient resource use.
• Maintaining accurate customer data and administration.
• Collaborating with operations to deliver the right solution.
• Handling queries professionally and resolving issues.
• Ensuring HWSEQ standards are met and out-of-hours coverage when required.
