Job summary

Speedy Hire Plc in London is recruiting a Hire Controller to be based in the depot and act as the front line of sales and customer service. You will coordinate the entire hire process from order to delivery and collection, liaising with stock teams, drivers and engineers to meet customer needs.

The role emphasises strong organisational and communication skills, a proactive approach, and a commitment to learning.

Qualifications

Strong organisational skills and able to manage multiple tasks.
Excellent verbal and written communication to liaise with customers and internal teams.
Adaptable and proactive in a fast-paced hire environment.
Committed to learning and developing within the role and company.
Valid driving license required for depot-based responsibilities.
Experience in the hire industry or similar sales/operational role preferred.
Ability to support the business unit/team to deliver the ESG Strategy - Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

Based in the depot, the Hire Controller coordinates the entire hire process from taking the order through to delivery and collection, liaising with every part of the depot to ensure customer needs are met and satisfaction with service.
On a day‑to‑day basis, you will be desk‑based, working with other departments, and liaising with stock teams, drivers and engineers to fulfil customer needs with readily available equipment.
