Job summary

Speedy Hire Plc in Norwich is seeking a Hire Controller to join our depot operations. You will coordinate the entire hire process from taking the order through to delivery and collection, liaising with stock teams, drivers and engineers to meet customer needs and ensure service excellence.

This desk-based role requires strong organisational and communication skills, adaptability and a commitment to learn and develop.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational skills.
• Strong communication skills both verbally & written.
• Adaptability and flexibility in a busy depot environment.
• Commitment to learn and develop within the business.
• Valid driving licence is essential.
• Previous experience in hire industry or similar sales/operational role.
• Ability to support the business unit to deliver ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the entire hire process from taking the order through to delivery and collection.
• Liaise with depot stock teams, drivers and engineers to meet customer needs and ensure service excellence.
• Work closely with other departments in the depot and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records and communication to support efficient operations.
