Job summary

HSB Technical Ltd in Havant is seeking a Hire Controller to manage the full hire lifecycle, taking ownership of customer needs and acting as the main point of contact during the hire period.

You will coordinate with service teams to arrange servicing and deliveries, produce quotations, manage suppliers, and support invoicing while keeping CRM records accurate and up-to-date.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of customer hire requirements, acting as the main point of contact and providing excellent customer service throughout the hire period.
• Manage the complete hire process from enquiry and quotation through to delivery, installation, commissioning, off-hire and collection.
• Manage fleet availability and utilisation, ensuring equipment is inspected, maintained, serviced, tested and ready for hire.
• Coordinate with Service Coordinators and Engineers to arrange servicing, callouts, PDI and remedial works, providing all required site and technical information.
• Produce accurate customer quotations, including equipment, delivery, installation, fuel, servicing and third-party costs.
• Manage suppliers and hired-in equipment, including obtaining quotations, raising purchase orders, ordering parts/equipment and checking supplier invoices.
• Identify additional sales opportunities and promote relevant products and services to customers where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate hire contracts, asset records, customer information, pricing and hire details within the CRM system.
• Support invoicing, reporting and forecasting by maintaining accurate information on current and upcoming hires, fleet utilisation, costs and revenue.
• Ensure all required hire documentation is provided and work within agreed Service Department KPIs, while supporting the wider department as required.
