Job summary

Attega Group Ltd is recruiting for a Hire Desk Controller in Havant. This full-time, permanent role offers a salary of £26,000–£30,000 per annum and weekday hours.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will coordinate the hire process, respond to customer enquiries, manage quotations and orders, and monitor fleet availability to maximise hire opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have previous hire desk or account management experience from a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Customer-focused, a team player and have excellent self-motivation.
• Must have some understanding of creating quotations, placing orders, or understanding hire agreements.

Attega Group is working on behalf of our client as their in-house recruitment provider.

We are currently recruiting for a Hire Desk Controllerto join their team.

The main purpose of this Hire Desk Controller role is to support the hire function, responding proactively to business needs.

In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £30,000 P/A, depending on experience.

This role is full-time and permanent. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the Service Manager your responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a main point of contact for customers hiring equipment through the business
• Coordinating the hire process, handling enquiries, quotes, availability, delivery, installations, off-hiring, collections, etc.
• Monitoring fleet availability and fuel management for the equipment on hire
• Creating job requests for schedule planned servicing, callouts, and remedial works
• Arranging replacements for equipment which is faulty, damaged, lost, or stolen
• Identifying opportunities to maximise hire orders and producing relevant quotations.

The ideal candidate:

• Must have previous hire desk or account management experience from a fast-paced environment
