AECOM is seeking enthusiastic Highway Engineering Apprentices in Birmingham to support a range of projects aimed at safer, more efficient, and sustainable transport networks.

You'll work with experienced engineers in multidisciplinary teams, gaining practical experience across the project lifecycle while training toward a recognised qualification in Highway Engineering. Hybrid work options apply.

Qualifikationen

• Motivation to pursue highway engineering with a strong interest in transport.
• Ability to learn AutoCAD, Civil 3D and related design software.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Aufgaben

• Assist with design drawings, plans and supporting documentation using CAD and other software.
• Support the development of traffic engineering, highways and active travel schemes.
• Assist with highway/traffic design including signage and road markings.
• Support traffic management and signal design activities.
• Participate in site visits, surveys and inspections to gather information.
• Assist with technical reports, calculations and presentation materials.
• Develop understanding of engineering standards, guidance and best practices.
