Job summary

AECOM is seeking enthusiastic Traffic Engineering Apprentices to join our London team. You’ll learn on-the-job, work with experienced engineers, and gain practical experience across the project lifecycle from concept to detailed design.

You’ll develop skills in CAD/Civil 3D modeling and traffic engineering software while training toward a recognised qualification. The role offers hybrid working options and a clear path into a career with a global infrastructure firm.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (Maths & English) at grade C/4 or above.
• Three A-Levels (Maths and a physical science) or equivalent for Degree Apprenticeship.
• Interest in traffic/transport engineering and a career in the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design drawings using CAD and other software.
• Contribute to traffic engineering, highways and active travel schemes from concept to detailed design.
• Collect and interpret traffic data to support project decisions.
• Support traffic signal design and signage planning.
• Attend site visits, surveys and inspections to understand conditions.
• Assist with technical reports, calculations and presentation materials.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across projects.
