A school in Newquay is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic, creative, and able to motivate pupils. The position is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of the school during teaching staff absences. Applicants must meet HLTA standards or equivalent and possess excellent literacy, numeracy, and IT skills. This permanent role offers 30 hours per week, term time only, with a commitment to safeguarding children and upholding the school's values.
We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant with enthusiasm, creativity and the ability to motivate and engage our pupils. The role of HLTA is integral to the smooth operation of the school and the enhanced opportunities we give to our pupils. The role is primarily to oversee classes during the short‑term absence of teaching staff or to provide time for teachers and leaders to undertake their wider school roles.
The successful candidate will be expected to meet HLTA national standards or hold equivalent skills, expertise or experience. Excellent numeracy/literacy skills equivalent to NVQ level 2 in English and Maths and IT skills sufficient to advance pupils' learning are essential for this position.
This is a permanent contract for 30 hours per week, term time only.
