Job summary

St James' CE Primary School in Malvern Hills invites applications for a High Level Needs Assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with identified SEND needs. This 30-hour term-time role focuses on providing person-centred, 1:1 support to enable access to a personalised, play-based curriculum.

You will work in a calm, patient manner, building trusting relationships, delivering structured interventions and supporting sensory regulation in both indoor and outdoor learning environments.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting a Year 1 pupil with SEND needs.
• Ability to deliver structured interventions.
• Capable of nurturing learning through play-based activities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and DBS checks.

Salary:£19,954 - £20,253 per annum, inc SNA. TA2 (Term time only + Ted)

You will be expected to provide consistent, nurturing 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with identified SEND needs, enabling him to access a personalised, interest-led curriculum and participate meaningfully in school life.

The role requires a calm, experienced, patient practitioner who can build a trusting relationship, deliver structured interventions, develop learning within a play-based model and support sensory regulation within both indoor and outdoor learning environments.
