Job summary

Holy Family Catholic Primary School requires a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a named pupil. The role is 32.5 hours per week, term time (38 weeks), and temporary, starting 2 November 2026.

You will join a caring team committed to pupils’ learning and well-being in a Catholic school ethos. The successful candidate will have empathy, experience with interventions (1:1 and group), and a strong ability to support the curriculum while building positive relationships with pupils,

Holy Family RC Primary School are looking to appoint a talented, caring Teaching Assistant to join our successful team. The position is to work as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant with named pupil(s).

The successful candidate will have:

• A high level of empathy and understanding with a caring nature.
• Experience in delivering a range of high quality interventions, both 1:1 and in group work.
• Experience of supporting children with the curriculum.
• Be a team player, show initiative and hold high expectations for pupils.
• Be able to develop good relationships with pupils, parents, staff and all stakeholders.
• Meet the criteria of the person specification and hold the correct qualifications.
