Job summary

Amazon seeks an Account Manager to boost AWS adoption in Higher Education across Scotland. You will engage at Vice-Chancellor and CXO levels as well as with software developers and IT architects, developing and executing a territory plan and promoting AWS services.

The role emphasizes building strategic relationships, managing complex procurement cycles, and driving customer adoption in HE institutions.

Qualifications

• Experience building strategic relationships with stakeholders across teams and functions.
• Experience with pipeline management using Salesforce or other CRM tools.
• 3–5 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development within the Higher Education sector.
• Demonstrated experience working with universities, colleges, or further education institutions.
• Track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles typical of HE procurement.

Responsibilities

• Promote AWS services in a defined territory or industry vertical.
• Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan.
• Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services.
• Facilitate customer adoption.
• Maintain a robust projects pipeline.
• Work with partners to extend reach & promote adoption.
• Contribute to positive customer experience
