Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our distribution team.

You will work Monday to Friday with 3–4 nights out per week, starting between 04:00 and 06:00, delivering timber products to Wickes stores nationwide and returning to Stoke.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum of 6 months commercial LGV C+E experience
• Experience of strapping diminishing loads (timber)
• Live locally to Stoke ST1 5PG

Responsibilities

• Delivery of timber products to Wickes stores nationwide including London; load-strapping required
• Between 1–4 store drops daily UK wide plus collections back to Stoke
• Drive safely and in compliance with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver to play a vital role in our distribution service.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• Work pattern - Monday to Friday - 3-4 nights out per week (no Friday nights out)
• Start times - varied 04:00-06:00 - new 75 plate vehicle with microwave!!
• Delivery of timber products to Wickes stores nationwide including London - experience of strapping a diminishing load required!!
• Between 1-4 store drops daily UK wide plus collections back to Stoke
• Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• You will hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Candidates MUST have a minimum of 6 months commercial LGV C+E experience, ideally with general haulage with nights out
• Candidates MUST have experience of strapping diminishing loads - in this case timber products
• Candidates MUST live locally to Stoke ST1 5PG
