Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in the United Kingdom seeks a Class 1 HGV Driver to support Dunelm, Stoke-on-Trent. You will drive safely, comply with hours rules, perform vehicle checks and deliver to stores using a tail lift and pump truck.

Shift patterns start between 01:00-03:00, with a permanent contract type and additional shift premiums for evening and night hours. Benefits include leave, pension, and more as listed.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Ideally have 12 months recent driving experience.
• Are polite and friendly and have a can do attitude.
• Double Deck experience is desirable.
• Are confident manoeuvering in a tight yard.
• Enjoy driving the latest vehicle models.

Responsibilities

• Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Comply with health and safety standards and The Highway Code.
• Regular completion of vehicle checks.
• Deliver 1–3 store deliveries to the rear of the store using a tail lift and electric pump truck.

Job description

Pay Rate: £44,177.81 (£17.69 PH) +shift premiums any hours worked between 10pm and 6am (£21.23 PH) any hours worked between 4pm and 10pm (£19.46 PH)

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time and part time)
Shift patterns: Monday-Friday start times between 01.00-03.00

• Regular completion of vehicle checks
• 1-3 store deliveries delivering to the rear of the store using a tail lift and electric pump truck with some manual handling required.
