Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is recruiting a Class 1 HGV tramper driver for the Manton Wood site. A 4 on, 4 off pattern includes overnight stays in the sleeper cab, with several start times noted.

You will deliver palletised goods to warehouses, ensuring loads are strapped and secured and that all driving is performed to road and safety standards. Applicants should hold HGV Class 1 (C+E), Driver CPC and Tachograph Card, be comfortable with manual handling, and join a team committed to safe, timely

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 Licence (C+E) with Driver CPC and Tachograph Card.
• Willingness to work 4 on, 4 off night tramper shifts, including overnight stays.
• Comfortable with manual handling and loading/unloading tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver palletised goods to warehouses and RDCs, 1–3 drops per day.
• Strap and secure loads, occasional pallet truck use for tipping.
• Drive safely within Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive.
• Comply with health and safety standards and Highway Code requirements.

Shift patterns: 4 on, 4 off Tramping Shift. Available start times - 12am, 2am, 3am, 4am or 6am

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Delivering palletised goods to warehouses and RDC's - between 1 and 3 drops per day
• Strapping and securing the load, occasional tipping through use of manual pallet truck
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Willingness and ability to work a tramping shift pattern, including overnight stays in the vehicle's sleeper cab
• Are comfortable with manual handling - strapping/securing loads and occasional use of manual pallet truck
