Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in the United Kingdom is seeking a Class 1 HGV Driver to support logistics operations in Lutterworth. You will play a key role in delivering goods safely and on time while adhering to driving regulations and company standards.

The successful candidate will drive safely, perform vehicle checks, and occasionally travel to nearby docks. The role is permanent, full-time with Monday–Friday shifts, and offers parking, a pension, and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E).
• Driver CPC Qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Ideally have 6 months recent driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive.
• Adhere to health and safety standards and The Highway Code.
• Complete vehicle checks regularly.
• Perform trailer swapping at customer sites (2 or 3 per day).
• No Handballing and not long hours.
• Occasionally travel to Felixstowe or Southampton Docks (rides cards and training provided).

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Regular completion of vehicle checks
• Trailer swapping at customer sites 2 or 3 a day
• No Handballing involved and not long hours
• Occasionally going to Felixstowe or Southampton Docks (Rides cards will be supplied and training given)
