Job summary

Enva is seeking a HGV Trade Driver for our Linwood site. You will work a dayshift from 5am to 3pm, five days a week, totalling around 45 hours with the potential for overtime.

The role sits in the Transport department and focuses on safe, efficient waste transportation and compliance with duty of care regulations. The successful candidate will hold a Class 2 LGV licence with CPC and bring a professional, organised approach, strong time management, and reliable communication to ensure excellent

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Report safety concerns and incidents promptly to enable investigation.
• Carry out daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport department.
• Report accidents, vehicle defects and breakdowns.
• Operate HGV vehicles to transport waste between locations.
• Ensure correct waste transfer notes and secure loads for transit.

We are recruiting a HGV Trade Driver to join our team in Linwood you will be working a dayshift from 5am to 3pm, 5 days a week - , 45h with eligibility for overtime

Department: Transport

Location: Linwood

Key Responsibilities

• Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
• Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
• Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns.
• Waste Transportation: Operate HGV vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between designated locations.
• Ensuring compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, sheeting all loads to ensure secure transit of waste on the public highway.
• The completion of relevant tickets or the use of the handheld device (As appropriate), detailing the necessary information and obtaining a customer signature.
• Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company’s safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
• Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
