Enva is hiring a HGV Trade Driver for Linwood, operating a day shift from 5am to 3pm, five days a week, totaling 45 hours with overtime eligibility. You will safely operate assigned vehicles on designated routes, ensuring timely, professional, and customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Report safety concerns, hazards, accidents and incidents promptly for investigation.
• Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit them to Transport.
• Report accidents, vehicle defects and breakdowns.
• Operate HGVs to collect, transport and deliver waste between locations.
• Ensure Duty of Care via waste inspections, transfer notes and secure loads.
• Use tickets or handheld device to record details and obtain customer signatures.
• Maintain health, safety and welfare standards per policy and procedures.
• Keep the driving cab clean and tidy.
• Assist in coordinating work to maintain efficiency and productivity.
• Deliver excellent customer service.

Description

We are recruiting a HGV Trade Driver to join our team in Linwood you will be working a dayshift from 5am to 3pm, 5 days a week - , 45h with eligibility for overtime
In this role you will safely and competently operate assigned vehicles on allocated routes in a timely, professional and customer focused manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
• Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
• Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns.
• Waste Transportation: Operate HGV vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between designated locations.
• Ensuring compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, sheeting all loads to ensure secure transit of waste on the public highway.
• The completion of relevant tickets or the use of the handheld device (As appropriate), detailing the necessary information and obtaining a customer signature.
• Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company’s safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
• Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
