Job summary

Enva is recruiting a HGV Trade Driver to join our Transport team in Linwood. The role operates a 5am to 3pm dayshift, five days a week, with a 45-hour workweek and overtime eligibility. You will safely drive assigned vehicles on waste collection routes, ensuring timely, professional service and customer focus.

Safety and compliance are key, including waste transfer notes and load sheeting. Responsibilities include pre-start inspections and reporting incidents while maintaining vehicle

Qualifications

• Class 2 LGV licence and CPC are essential.
• Professional and organised approach is required.
• Good time management and communication skills are important.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV vehicles to collect, transport and deliver waste materials between designated locations.
• Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit reports to Transport dept.
• Report safety concerns, accidents and incidents promptly for investigation.
• Ensure loads are secured, with waste transfer notes completed and loads sheeted for road transit.
• Maintain health and safety standards per the company policy and procedures.
• Assist in coordinating work to maximise efficiency and productivity.
• Deliver excellent customer service on every interaction.

HGV Driver - Trade Waste

Description

We are recruiting a HGV Trade Driver to join our team in Linwood you will be working a dayshift from 5am to 3pm, 5 days a week (Monday to Friday), 45h with eligibility for overtime.

In this role you will safely and competently operate assigned vehicles on allocated routes in a timely, professional and customer focused manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
• Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
• Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns.
• Waste Transportation: Operate HGV vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between designated locations.
• Ensuring compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, sheeting all loads to ensure secure transit of waste on the public highway.
• The completion of relevant tickets or the use of the handheld device (As appropriate), detailing the necessary information and obtaining a customer signature.
• Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company’s safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
• Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
