Job summary

Enva in Linwood is recruiting a HGV RORO Driver for a dayshift from 6am to 4pm, five days a week, about 45 hours with overtime eligibility. You will safely operate assigned vehicles on waste transport routes, maintaining professionalism and customer focus on every delivery.

You will report safety concerns, conduct pre-start inspections, and ensure compliance with Duty of Care and load security. The role emphasizes reliability, safety and high standards of service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Report safety concerns, hazards, accidents and incidents promptly.
• Carry out daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport.
• Report accidents and vehicle defects.
• Transport waste between designated locations by HGV.
• Ensure compliance with Duty of Care and complete waste transfer notes.
• Sheet loads and obtain customer signatures where required.
• Maintain health and safety standards per policy and procedures.
• Keep driving cab clean and tidy.
• Assist in coordinating work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Deliver excellent customer service.

Job description

We are recruiting a HGV RORO Driver to join our team in Linwood you will be working a dayshift from 6am to 4pm, 5 days a week, 45h with eligibility for overtime. In this role you will safely and competently operate assigned vehicles on allocated routes in a timely, professional and customer focused manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
• Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
• Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns.
• Waste Transportation: Operate HGV vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between designated locations.
• Ensuring compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, sheeting all loads to ensure secure transit of waste on the public highway.
• The completion of relevant tickets or the use of the handheld device (As appropriate), detailing the necessary information and obtaining a customer signature.
• Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company’s safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
• Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
