Job summary

Enva is recruiting a HGV Trade Driver to join our Transport team in Linwood. You will work a dayshift from 5am to 3pm, 5 days a week, totaling 45 hours with eligibility for overtime.

You will safely operate assigned vehicles on waste collection routes, maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach. Candidates should hold a Class 2 LGV licence and CPC, with a professional, organised mindset, good time management and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
• Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
• Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns.
• Waste Transportation: Operate HGV vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between designated locations.
• Ensuring compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, sheeting all loads to ensure secure transit of waste on the public highway.
• The completion of relevant tickets or the use of the handheld device (As appropriate), detailing the necessary information and obtaining a customer signature.
• Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company’s safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
• Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
