Job summary

Enva is recruiting an HGV RORO Driver for our Linwood site. You will work a day shift, 6am–4pm, five days a week (approximately 45 hours) with overtime eligibility.

You will safely operate assigned vehicles on allocated routes, focusing on timely, professional, and customer-friendly service. Key responsibilities include completing pre-start inspections, reporting incidents, waste collection/delivery, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 LGV driving licence.
• Driver CPC qualification.

Responsibilities

• Report safety concerns, hazards, accidents and incidents promptly for investigation.
• Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
• Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns.
• Operate HGV vehicles to collect, transport and deliver waste materials between designated locations.
• Ensure Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, heeting loads for secure transit.
• Use handheld device or complete tickets with required information and obtain customer signature.
• Maintain health and safety standards per company policy and risk assessments.
• Maintain cab cleanliness.
• Assist in coordinating work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Deliver excellent customer service.

Job description

We are recruiting a HGV RORO Driver to join our team in Linwood you will be working a dayshift from 6am to 4pm, 5 days a week, 45h with eligibility for overtime.

In this role you will safely and competently operate assigned vehicles on allocated routes in a timely, professional and customer focused manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
• Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
• Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns.
• Waste Transportation: Operate HGV vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between designated locations.
• Ensuring compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, sheeting all loads to ensure secure transit of waste on the public highway.
• The completion of relevant tickets or the use of the handheld device (As appropriate), detailing the necessary information and obtaining a customer signature.
• Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company’s safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
• Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
