Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a skilled HGV Driver Lorry Loader in Whitehaven to join our team and ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites. You will load and unload equipment, secure loads, and operate lorries safely while maintaining excellent service.

You will hold a Category C+E license with up to 6 points, a CPC and tachograph card, and a proactive approach to safety. Training for Hiab/IPAF and FORS may be provided.

Qualifications

• Category C+E license with up to 6 points.
• CPC certification required.
• Tachograph card holder.
• Proactive safety mindset for company vehicles.
• Polite manner when visiting customer premises.
• Hiab/IPAF training desirable (training provided).
• FORS compliance desirable.
• Good geographical knowledge and industry experience desirable.
• IT systems literacy desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of goods.
• Load and unload equipment and secure loads before/during journeys.
• Load and unload using lorry loader (HIAB).
• Visit customer locations and communicate with internal/external customers.
• Ensure safety and compliance with legal and company time regulations.

About The Role

Are you ready to be a part of our rapidly developing business. We are looking for a talented HGV Driver Lorry Loader to join our team to ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites whilst consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.What will you be doing?

• Operating commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Load and unload equipment by operating the lorry loader
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all time

About You

What are we looking for?

• Minimum of driving license category C+E – with no more than 6 points
• CPC Certified
• Tachograph card
• Proactive approach to safety of company vehicles and other drivers
• A polite manner at all times when visiting customer premises
• Hiab license is desirable, however training can be provided
• IPAF is desirable, however training can be provided
• Good geographical knowledge and Industry experience (desirable)
• Ability to use IT systems (desirable)
• FORS compliant (desirable)
