Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an experienced HGV Driver Plant and MEWP Load/Unload to join our team. You will ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites while meeting safety and compliance standards.

The role requires loading/unloading of heavy plant and equipment, visiting customer premises, and maintaining roadworthiness. Located initially in Barking with relocation to Brentwood planned within the year. Excellent development opportunities and a real living wage employer.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Driving Licence Category C with no more than 6 points.
• CPC Certification is required.
• Tachograph card held.
• Demonstrable HGV Driver experience.
• Proactive safety mindset for company vehicles and other drivers.
• Polite and professional when visiting customer premises.
• Good geographical knowledge and industry experience are desirable.
• Ability to use IT systems is desirable.
• FORS accreditation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of goods.
• Ensure vehicle is safe and roadworthy before journeys; load/unload securely.
• Load and unload rental and equipment including heavy plant.
• Visit customer locations and communicate with internal/external customers.
• Comply with legal and company safety requirements and Working Time Directive.

About The Role

This role will currently be located in Barking, however will be relocating to Brentwood within the year

Are you ready to be a part of our rapidly developing business. We are looking for a talented HGV Driver Plant and MEWP Load/ Unload to join our team to ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites whilst consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

What will you be doing?

• Operating commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Load and unload rental, electrical and powered access equipment including heavy plant
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all time
