Job summary

Blue Arrow is seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver for fixed weekend trunk runs from a Bristol depot. The role focuses on clean driving with no multi-drop and uses telematics and route planning tools to optimise deliveries.

Ideal candidates have a UK Class C+E licence, CPC and tachograph card, and at least 12 months of Class 1 experience. Pre-booked shifts support family planning and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Full UK Class C+E licence is required.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Maximum 6 points on licence (no DR/DG/CC/DD/BA).
• Minimum 12 months HGV Class 1 experience.
• Tachograph data available for last 3–6 months.

Responsibilities

• Trunk runs to Midlands hubs and back or single collection.
• No multi-drop deliveries.
• No hand ball; duties are driving-focused and safe.
• Pre-booked rota for planning and predictable hours.

Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver

Contract Type: Pre-booked, ongoing or adhoc

Positions Available: 2

Location: Bristol - BS16

Pay Rates

• Saturday: £24.52ph until midnight, £27.25ph after and £27.25ph OT after 8 hours
• Sunday: £27.25ph until midnight, £19.15ph after and £27.25ph OT after 8 hours

45 minute break deducted daily

Shift Patterns

• Fixed Shifts: Saturday and/or Sunday
• Average Shift Length: 12 hours
• Start times vary between 14:00 - 22:00
• Pre-booked rota for better planning

Job Role

• Destinations: Midlands Hubs
• Workload: Straight trunk to hub and back or x1 collection
• No multi-drop
• No hand ball - clean driving work only

Vehicle & Equipment Info

• Modern fleet
• Telematics and route planning tech used

Requirements

• Full UK Class C+E Licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• 6 points maximus - no DR/DG/CC/DD/BA endorsements
• Minimum 12 months' HGV Class 1 experience
• Data available on your tachograph card displaying work over last 3 - 6 months
• Full induction required - this is paid time and must be completed on a midweek
