Job summary

Blue Arrow in Bristol is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for trunk/collection runs to Midlands hubs. Shifts are pre-booked with 10–12 hour durations and start times between 14:00 and 20:00, 24/7 operation.

Applicants must hold a UK Class C+E licence, CPC and Tachograph card with at least 12 months' Class 1 experience. Onsite parking, supportive team, and attractive pay rates are provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK Class C+E Licence and CPC with Tachograph card are essential.
• Minimum 12 months HGV Class 1 experience is required.
• Licence must have no more than 6 points and no DR/DG/CD/DD convictions.

Responsibilities

• Operate trunk deliveries to Midlands hubs and return to Bristol.
• Follow pre-booked rota to ensure predictable shifts.
• Workload involves straight trunking with no multi-drop.
• Utilise telematics and route planning tech as part of daily tasks.

Location: Bristol - BS16

Pay Rates

• Monday - Thursday: £19.15ph and £27.25ph OT after 8 hours


• Friday: £19.15ph until midnight, £24.52ph after and £27.25ph OT after 8 hours


• Saturday: £24.52ph until midnight, £27.25ph after and £27.25ph OT after 8 hours


• Sunday: £27.25ph until midnight, £19.15ph after and £27.25ph OT after 8 hours

45 minute break deducted daily and rates increase after 12 weeks service

Shift Patterns

• Shifts: Operation runs 24-7 Monday to Sunday


• Average Shift Length: 10 - 12 hours


• Start times vary between 14:00 - 20:00 depending on weekly requirements


• Pre-booked rota for better planning
