Job summary

Blue Arrow is looking for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join a pre-booked ongoing role at a Carlisle depot. You will handle trunk deliveries to Midlands hubs, with shifts typically around 12 hours and start times between 14:00 and 20:00, on a 24-7 operation.

The role requires a full UK Class C+E licence, CPC and tachograph card, plus at least 12 months’ Class 1 experience. A reliable, compliant driver is essential for consistent on-time parcels movement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' HGV Class 1 experience.
• tachograph data available for last 6 months.
• License must not contain DR/DG/CD/DD/BA and no more than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Delivery type: Parcels with trunk runs to hubs.
• Average shift length around 12 hours with 14:00–20:00 starts.
• Pre-booked rota for planning and family-friendly hours.
• Onsite depots with modern fleet and route planning.

Pay Rates

• Monday - Thursday: £19.15ph and £27.25ph OT after 8 hours
• Friday: £19.15ph until midnight, £24.52ph after and £27.25ph OT after 8 hours
• Saturday: £24.52ph until midnight, £27.25ph after and £27.25ph OT after 8 hours
• Sunday: £27.25ph until midnight, £19.15ph after and £27.25ph OT after 8 hours

45 minute break deducted daily

45 minute break deducted daily and rates increase after 12 weeks service

Shift Patterns

• Shifts: Operation runs 24-7 Monday to Sunday
• Average Shift Length: 12 hours
• Start times vary between 14:00 - 20:00 depending on weekly requirements
• Pre-booked rota for better planning
