Job summary

Panda is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our Widnes depot team and support sustainable waste management operations. You will operate from our Widnes depot, collecting and transporting commercial/industrial waste using our modern HGV fleet, with early shifts and a 40-hour week.

Shifts run Monday–Friday starting at 3-4 am, with paid breaks and overtime available on weekends. The role includes a pay rate of £14.47/hour plus overtime at £18.09/hour after 40 hours, plus bonuses

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 2 licence with Driver CPC.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Experience in waste sector operations (preferred).
• Knowledge of waste hierarchy and environmental compliance.
• Customer-focused communication skills.
• Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles for waste collections.
• Plan efficient routes to maximise productivity and minimise environmental impact.
• Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring sites are tidy and bins positioned correctly.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Adhere to waste duty of care regulations, drivers’ hours, and health/safety standards.
