Job summary

Daval Associates is hiring a reliable HGV Class 2 Driver for our Widnes depot. You will collect and transport waste using a modern fleet, ensuring safety and efficiency. Competitive pay and consistent Monday–Friday shifts with paid breaks and overtime opportunities.

Start times are early morning, with full PPE and training provided, plus career progression opportunities as you contribute to safe, compliant waste collections across local routes.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph card.
• Previous experience in waste sector preferred.
• Good knowledge of local roads around Widnes.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Physically fit for manual handling.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-focused.
• Professional approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles for waste collections.
• Collect and transport waste safely and efficiently.
• Plan and follow efficient routes to maximise productivity.
• Provide excellent customer service at sites.
• Ensure areas are left clean and tidy; proper bin positioning.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Comply with waste duty of care requirements and regulations.
• Follow drivers' hours and tachograph rules.
• Maintain high health and safety standards.
• Represent the company professionally to customers.
• Carry out manual handling tasks when required.
