Job summary

Enva Recycling Scotland is recruiting a 4o4o nightshift HGV Trade Driver to join our team in Newbridge. Permanent role, 4o4o from 15:00 - 03:00am. You will safely operate assigned vehicles on designated routes, delivering waste materials with a customer-focused approach.

The role requires a Class 2 LGV licence and CPC, with a professional and self-motivated attitude, and the ability to work nights and maintain high safety standards. Competitive benefits and training support provided by Enva.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Report safety concerns, hazards, accidents and incidents promptly.
• Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
• Report all accidents, vehicle defects and breakdowns.
• Operate HGV to collect, transport and deliver waste materials.
• Ensure Duty of Care through waste inspection and waste transfer notes, and load sheeting.
• Use handheld device and obtain customer signatures where required.
• Maintain health, safety and welfare standards per policies and procedures.
• Keep driving cab clean and presentable.
• Assist in coordinating work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Deliver excellent customer service.

Description

Enva Recycling Scotland is recruiting a 4o4o nightshift HGV Trade Driver to join our team in Newbridge. Permanent role, 4o4o from 15:00 - 03:00am

In this role you will safely and competently operate assigned vehicles on allocated routes in a timely, professional and customer focused manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
• Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
• Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns.
• Waste Transportation: Operate HGV vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between designated locations.
• Ensuring compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, sheeting all loads to ensure secure transit of waste on the public highway.
• The completion of relevant tickets or the use of the handheld device (As appropriate), detailing the necessary information and obtaining a customer signature.
• Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company’s safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
• Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
