Job summary

Enva Group is recruiting for a HGV Class 2 nightshift driver to join our team in Newbridge on a 4-on-4-off schedule (15:00–03:00). The role involves safe operation of assigned vehicles on designated routes, ensuring timely, professional and customer-focused service.

You will complete pre-start inspections, maintain safety standards, and help coordinate work to maximise efficiency while upholding our waste transfer and Duty of Care duties.

Qualifications

• Requires Class 2 LGV licence and CPC.
• Ability to work night shifts on a 4-on 4-off rota.
• Demonstrates professional, organised and time‑aware approach.

Responsibilities

• Report safety concerns, hazards and incidents promptly to enable investigation.
• Carry out daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
• Report accidents, vehicle defects and breakdowns.
• Transport waste: drive HGVs to collect, transport and deliver waste materials between locations.
• Ensure Duty of Care by inspecting waste, completing waste transfer notes and sheeting loads for secure transit.
• Record necessary information and obtain customer signature using handheld device.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and Safe Working Procedures.
• Keep cab clean and tidy.
• Assist in coordinating workload for efficiency and productivity.
• Deliver excellent customer service.

Enva Recycling Scotland is recruiting a 4o4o nightshift HGV Trade Driver to join our team in Newbridge. Permanent role, 4o4o from 15:00 - 03:00am

In this role you will safely and competently operate assigned vehicles on allocated routes in a timely, professional and customer focused manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
• Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
• Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns.
• Waste Transportation: Operate HGV vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between designated locations.
• Ensuring compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, sheeting all loads to ensure secure transit of waste on the public highway.
• The completion of relevant tickets or the use of the handheld device (As appropriate), detailing the necessary information and obtaining a customer signature.
• Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company’s safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
• Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
